Susan D. Goodman’s career reflects her interest in social justice. She has worked extensively in the elder care arena to develop services to enable older people to live independently and with dignity. She is proud to have recently served as project manager for Long Road to Justice: The African American Experience in the Massachusetts Courts, a permanent installation sponsored by Northeastern University’s Ruffin Society that is located at the Edward Brooke Courthouse in Boston. Her blog, Acting Our Age: Women’s Lives at 85+, challenges the stereotypes of old age by sharing the life stories and perspectives of amazing, unrecognized women. Her column, Grace, Grit & Humor, appears monthly in The Jewish Advocate. She holds an EdM from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with a concentration in administration and social policy and a BA in Urban Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
