Charley Baginsky

Rabbi Charley Baginsky

Charley Baginsky has been passionate about the Liberal Jewish movement since childhood. She served as a youth leader and educator with LJY-Netzer, which led to her increased involvement with the movement as she grew into adulthood. After her ordination by Leo Baeck College, where she received the John Rayner Prize for Talmud, Baginsky worked in Israel and subsequently served as rabbi at Kingston Liberal Synagogue for ten years. From 2013 to 2015, she served as the chair of Liberal Judaism’s Rabbinic Conference. She is currently the rabbi at South Bucks Jewish Community, the director of Liberal Judaism’s Strategy and Partnerships, the chair of Liberal Judaism’s Biennial Conferences and Day of Celebrations, the chair of Liberal Judaism’s National Conferences Committee, and the coordinator of the Alliance for Progressive Judaism, a role in which she manages their Israel Desk.
