Sara Meirowitz
Rabbi Sara Meirowitz was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of a rabbi. She attended Yale University, where she found a mentor in Rabbi Sharon Cohen Anisfeld, the Associate Hillel Director. After college, Sara worked as an editor of science books before moving to Jerusalem, where she lived for four years. Sara returned to the United States, attended the Rabbinical School of Hebrew College, and now works as a rabbinic teacher at Gann Academy in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Sara describes her childhood and the religious practices and attitudes of her parents. She attended the Conservative Solomon Schechter Day School and transferred to a local Orthodox day school for high school. Sara traces her path to becoming a rabbi.
