My own dear Ones: -
It is about half-past eleven o'clock and I have been here almost an hour. This morning when I awoke I found it dark and rainy and thought it was best to come up early, as it was not raining hard. It is so disagreeably gloomy & sultry that it is enough to give one the blues. However, by this time, I have become callous to such influences.
