Kirsten Wasson

Kirsten Wasson teaches multicultural literature at Ithaca College. A graduate of Wesleyan University (B.A.), State University of New York in Binghamton (M.A.) and the University of Wisconsin (Ph.D.), she has written a book on Mary Antin, Anzia Yezierska and Elizabeth Stern.

She achieved success within a number of realms and balanced a number of competing roles: fiction writer, journalist, social worker, wife, mother, and an American woman leading a secular life who examined the importance of cultural heritage.
