Noam Sienna

Noam Sienna is a scholar of Jewish culture and history, focusing especially on the medieval and early modern periods, and with a particular interest in Jewish communities in the Islamic world. His first book, A Rainbow Thread: An Anthology of Queer Jewish Texts from the First Century to 1969 (Philadelphia: Print-o-Craft Press, 2019), collects 120 primary sources for the study of LGBTQ Jewish history, with introductions and extensive bibliography.

Pearl M. Hart was a pioneering attorney, activist, and educator. She devoted her life to defending the legal rights of the vulnerable and oppressed, especially women, children, immigrants, and gay men and lesbians. Her work in Chicago was instrumental in the development of the LGBTQ community there in the middle of the twentieth century.
