Rina Shachar, Ph.D., is a senior lecturer at Bar Ilan University and at the College of Judea and Samaria. Her areas of specialization are Israeli Society, The Family in a Changing Era, Gender Roles, Women’s and Men’s Status in Society and in the Family and Structuring Gender and Education.

She received a Ford Fund Grant for Outstanding Work for her doctoral thesis, “Young Israelis Choosing a Spouse.”
