Lily Schwartz

Lily Schwartz (1925–2000) was the head archivist at the Philadelphia Jewish Archives Center at the Balch Institute. Schwartz received her B.A. in religion and her M.A. in liberal arts from Temple University. She gave lectures and published articles in Jewish newsletters on Jewish genealogy and the Jewish Archives Center.

Rose I. Bender was an early twentieth-century Zionist activist who served extensively in her community, ultimately becoming the first female executive director of the Zionist Organization of Philadelphia in 1945.
