Janice Ross is a Professor of Dance Studies and the author of four books and dozens of articles and reviews. A former dance critic and journalist, her articles on dance have appeared in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Timesm and Dance Magazinem among other publications. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including Guggenheim and Fulbright Fellowships, Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture Fellowship, and Israel Institute grants, and is past president of the international Society of Dance History Scholars.
