Norma Fain Pratt

Norma Fain Pratt has written extensively on American Jewish political history, immigration, and women’s history, focusing especially on the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Her works include Morris Hillquit: A Political Biography of an American Jewish Socialist; Women Moving Forward: Dreamers, Builders, Leaders, and “Culture and Radical Politics: Yiddish Women Writers, 1880–1940.” Pratt has also published fiction and translations.

Anna Strunsky Walling was a Russian-born author, journalist, lecturer, and social activist. She produced several novels and memoirs and was involved in a number of political organizations, including the Socialist Labor Party and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, which she and her husband helped found.
