Karen Philipps

Karen Philipps is a writer and editor who also works extensively in event planning and outreach programs. Philipps is a telephone counselor at the helpline Recruiting New Teachers and a business manager for Voiceworks, a women’s a cappella group that sings for community service. She received her B.A. in English from Williams College and her M.A. in English from Boston College. She is the author of a biography of Rosa Sonneschein.

Judith Solis-Cohen had a prolific literary career that covered a wide range of topics, from clothing to education to women’s suffrage. She was also active in Philadelphia’s Jewish intellectual circles and introduced Jewish literature to the blind.
