Manfred Oberlechner

Manfred Oberlechner, sociologist and political scientist, was the academic project director on employment policy and integration at the VeBBAS (the job market–political care mechanism for the integration of immigrant workers into the Austrian job market) in Salzburg from 1998 to 2002. He is also university assistant in cultural studies at the Kunstuniversität Mozarteum Salzburg. His dissertation (2000) was on “The Successful Enlightenment?: Multiculturalism in the Netherlands.” He lectures at the Paris Lodron University in Salzburg on political theory and the history of ideas. The foci of his research are exile literature, interculturalism, employment policy and integration.
