Angela Wigan Marvin

Angela Wigan Marvin has written book reviews for Time Magazine and other publications. She has also written for the Museum of Modern Art. After completing the graduate seminar in oral history at Columbia University, she initiated a series of interviews on the development of twentieth-century American theater. In 1999, with co-author Jane Mushabac, she published A Short and Remarkable History of New York City, a timeline history with illustrations from the Museum of the City of New York. She works in the New York City Public School system through the volunteer organization, Learning Leaders.

Irene Mayer Selznick

Irene Mayer Selznick was a producer and philanthropist in Hollywood and New York. She wrote in her memoir, A Private View (1983), that Act I was spent under the shadow of her father, the film executive Louis B. Mayer; Act II was marriage to David O. Selznick, producer of Gone With the Wind; and Act III consisted of her career as a Broadway producer. She is known for producing Tennessee Williams’s A Streetcar Named Desire (1947).

Sylvia Herscher

Sylvia Herscher’s career in the theater encompassed several occupations and spanned decades. Beginning in the 1950s, she served as general manager, producer, publisher, agent, and board member, as well as friend and guide to countless writers and composers finding their way into the business. In 2000, the American Theatre Wing presented her with its Special Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre.
