Roger Kohn

Roger Kohn is Reinhard Family Curator of Judaica and Hebraica Collections at Stanford University Libraries, where he is also bibliographer for religious studies. Kohn has worked as an archivist at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and as an assistant professor of history at Gratz College. He received a B.A. in history and geography and a B.A. in art history and archaeology from the Sorbonne, as well as a B.A. in modern Hebrew from the University of Sorbonne-nouvelle. He is the author of Les Juifs de la France du nord dans la seconde moitié du XIVe siècle as well as archival inventories, exhibit catalogs, and articles on modern and medieval Jewish history.

Writer and translator Bertha Wiernik is remembered by her many adaptations of Yiddish literature and dramatic works. Working closely with charitable societies throughout her career, Wiernik helped spread Jewish literature throughout New York City in the early 20th century.
