Rosalind Karby

Rosalind Karby, a past national president of the Women’s Division of United Israel Appeal of Canada, spent over thirty years in the field of Jewish communal service, first as a volunteer and magazine editor with the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver and later as director of its Jewish Community Foundation. She is presently involved with Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University, Vancouver Chapter, and is an independent businesswoman.

Sheila Finestone

Senator Sheila Finestone was an important figure in Canadian parliamentary history, founding the Coordinating Committee of Women Parliamentarians for the Inter-Parliamentary Union. She took up issues including human rights and served as president of the Quebec Federation of Women. A cornerstone of Canadian Jewish history, Finestone dedicated her life to advocacy and activism.
