Bruce Henderson

Bruce Henderson is Professor of Speech Communication at Ithaca College, where he also served as department chair for five years; he is also coordinator of the minor in Health Communication. He holds a Ph.D. in Performance Studies from Northwestern University and is also currently a candidate for the Ph.D. in Disability Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is co-author, with Carol Simpson Stern, of Performance: Texts and Contexts, as well as author of numerous essays, reviews and encyclopedia entries on such varied topics as performance studies, disability studies, children’s literature and queer theory/LGBT studies.
