Laure Guilbert studied history and litterature in Lille University and at the Paris Institut d’Etudes Politiques. She received her Ph.D. in History and Civilisation at the University European Institute in Florence. Her research has been published under the title Danser avec le Troisième Reich. Les danseurs modernes sous le nazisme (Dancing with the Third Reich: Modern Dancers under Nazism). She has taught cultural studies and history of the performing arts at the Universities of Metz, Versailles and Paris III-La Sorbonne Nouvelle. Since 2003, she has been in charge of the dance publication department at the Paris National Opera.
