Francisca de Haan is a professor of Gender Studies at the Central European University, Budapest. Her publications include Een eigen patroon (Amsterdam 2002), a biography of a Dutch Jewish family, and A Biographical Dictionary of Women's Movements and Feminisms. Central, Eastern, and South Eastern Europe, 19th and 20th Centuries, co-edited with Krassimira Daskalova and Anna Loutfi (2006).
