Madeleine Cottenet-Hage

Madeleine Cottenet-Hage is Professor Emerita of French at the University of Maryland, USA. Her interest is twentieth-century francophone and French literature by women, on which she has published in various journals and books. She has also published on francophone cinema. She is co-editor, with Eva Sartori, of the forthcoming Daughters of Sarah, an anthology of Jewish women writers writing in French.

Writer Michèle Sarde’s biographies, novels, and essays cover a wide range of themes and issues, including female literary figures, women’s equality, and the trauma of war persecutions through the lens of both the Holocaust and the Armenian genocide. She has received many awards for her work and taught at Georgetown University for over 30 years.

Anna Langfus

After surviving political prison in Poland during the Holocaust, Anna Langfus moved to France and began writing plays and novels that dealt with themes of war, destruction, and loss. In her works, she weaved autobiographical material with fiction, capturing her harrowing experiences in her art.
