Chana Bloch

Chana Bloch, a poet, translator, scholar and literary critic, is the author of three books of poems, including the prize-winning Mrs. Dumpty, as well as a critical study, Spelling the Word: George Herbert and the Bible.  She is co-translator of the biblical Song of Songs, and four books by Israeli poets: A Dress of Fire and The Window by Dahlia Ravikovitch, The Selected Poetry of Yehuda Amichai, and Amichai's magnum opus, Open Closed Open.  Bloch is Professor Emerita of English and Creative Writing at Mills College.
