Dorothy Bilik (d. 1997) taught comparative literature, Yiddish language and literature, and Holocaust literature at the University of Maryland. Her publications include Immigrant Survivors: Post-Holocaust Consciousness in Recent Jewish-American Fiction and entries on Yiddish language and literature in the World Book Encyclopedia. She also contributed to Studies in Philology and Comparative Literature Studies, among other journals.
