Israel Bartal
Israel Bartal, the Avraham Harman Professor of Modern Jewish History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, has taught Jewish History, Hebrew and Yiddish Literature and Israel Studies at Harvard, McGill, the University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers and Moscow State University. His books include: Poles and Jews: A Failed Brotherhood (with M. Opalski, 1992) and The Jews of Eastern Europe, 1772–1881 (2005).
