Celebrating the Earth and the Jewish Women who Keep it Healthy!

A few weeks ago – in anticipation of Tu B'Shevat, the Jewish New Year for Trees – the Jewish Women's Archive introduced a new web-feature, Jewish Women in Environmental Activism.

The resource was intended to serve as a springboard to highlight the many Jewish women who have been pioneers in environmental preservation, activist film-making, community health, earth-honoring ritual, food justice blogging, eco-Judaism, and more! We've already had an impressive response, and invite you to expand this resource by adding comments, stories, and links about Jewish women environmental activists working in your community and beyond.

Feature these women in your Tu B'Shevat Seder, incorporate them into classroom lessons or community service projects, and share them with colleagues, family, and friends. Happy Tu B'Shevat!
