• On October 15, thousands of people attended "Sex, Power and Speaking the Truth: Anita Hill 20 Years Later." Ms. Magazine reports on the conference and unpacks its meaning. (This event was co-sponsored by the Jewish Women's Archive.)

• To mark the 125th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty's dedication, Nextbook Press has created an interactive version of Emma Lazarus' “The New Colossus,” with annotations by biographer Esther Schor.

• October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Interfaith Domestic Violence Coalition, convened by Jewish Women International, called on Congress to reauthorize of the Violence Against Women Act, a critical piece of legislation provides much of the federal funding for domestic violence prevention and education.
