Frieda Belasco Headshot

Frieda Belasco is a junior at Hastings High School in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York. She is a Managing Editor of her school newspaper. She participates in her school's Model UN team and Amnesty International club. She is a certified lifeguard and over the past summer she participated in the Boston University Summer Journalism Academy. Last year, she was a Meyer-Gottesman Kol Koleinu Fellow and created a social justice project highlighting queer voices. She enjoys reading, photography, learning about history, traveling, and exploring new places.

My "F" Necklace: From Generation to Generation

I often overlook how lucky I am that this necklace was passed down to me. My great-aunt gave it to me when I was born. Now I feel connected to my great-grandmother, despite having never met her.
